New ARC partner:
Insolight SA
Insolight was founded in 2015 and specialises in the sale of photovoltaic systems and agriphotovoltaic solutions. They have made it their mission to give farmers the opportunity to protect their harvests and generate solar energy at the same time.
Over the past four years, Insolight has worked closely with farmers and agronomic centres across Europe. The focus has been on developing agriphotovoltaic solutions that effectively serve as an agronomic tool for farmers, arming them against climate change and meeting their needs.
With more than 15 dedicated employees combining technical expertise and entrepreneurial skills, they are focussing on the commercialisation of their agrivoltaic solution "Insolagrin".
Insolight's agriphotovoltaic projects
In 2023, Insolight constructed five commercial photovoltaic projects covering 3 hectares at various locations in Switzerland and France. These projects were built with different structures for different crops, which has helped to expand the range from berries to other speciality crops such as fruit trees, grapes, vegetables and ornamental plants. A remarkable project covering an area of 1.6 hectares was developed in collaboration with Lubera and EW Buchs. Insolight designed translucent PV modules that can be seamlessly integrated into an innovative glass greenhouse.
- 160 kWp: with the producer Bioschmid on raspberries in Lucerne, Switzerland
- 265 kWp: with Agroscope for raspberries and strawberries in Conthey, Switzerland
- 820 kWp: with Lubera and EW Buchs for an Agri-PV greenhouse for a tree nursery in St.Gallen, Switzerland
By connecting to the SENS take-back system, Insolight supports the environmentally friendly recycling of your photovoltaic modules. We are pleased to have you as a partner.
