Every year, over 16 million people worldwide fall in their own homes and subsequently require medical care. 82 percent of falls among older people occur when they are home alone. More than 50 percent of those who fall are unable to get up on their own after such an event. Although some of the elderly already have an emergency call system, in 8 out of 10 cases it is not activated at all: the persons are either unconscious after a fall, cannot get up again or cannot reach the emergency button. 

For this reason, the health tech startup Sedimentum, has developed this SAFE-living solution. With the combination of intelligent, contactless fall detection and automatic alerting, SAFE-living offers round-the-clock safety at home, because fast help saves lives!

Sedimentum is aware of its responsibility as a manufacturer to recycle the devices properly at the end of their life cycle. The recycling of raw materials is ecological and sensible, as it closes material cycles and prevents potentially harmful heavy metals and other pollutants from entering the environment.
