What must not be put into the Electro Recycling Bag?
Anything that does not contain any electronic or electrical components, such as light switches, fuses, adapters or CDs. Moreover, please do not send us any loose batteries or accumulators. Packaging materials or operating instructions must also be disposed of separately.
Impurities contaminate the electrical and electronic appliances, which impedes the recycling process. You can locate the correct collection point for your items using the Recycling Map.
Why can’t loose batteries and accumulators also be included?
Batteries and accumulators contain many valuable raw materials that can be reused, but they also contain some harmful heavy metals. It is therefore essential that batteries and accumulators are disposed of in a professional and environmentally friendly manner. In Switzerland, batteries and accumulators are collected by the Inobat organisation. To ensure a smooth recycling process, please make sure that you send your batteries and accumulators to the right place.
You can find the nearest collection point using the Recycling Map.
My electrical or electronic appliance is too big for the Electro Recycling Bag. What are my options?

Do you have no means of transport? Enquire at your nearest collection point – for a fee, you will certainly be able to arrange for your electrical or electronic appliance to be collected from your home. You can find the nearest collection point using the Recycling Map.
My Electro Recycling Bag has not been collected. What should I do?
Have you put the Electro Recycling Bag in a place that is clearly visible for the postperson? This is the only way to make them aware that there is an Electro Recycling Bag to collect. It is also possible that the postperson simply had a full load already. If this was the case, they will collect the Electro Recycling Bag the following day. So please just give the postal service a few days. However, if the Electro Recycling Bag has still not been collected after a few days, please e-mail info@eRecycling.ch, stating your address. We will then ensure that your Electro Recycling Bag is collected.
What happens to my appliances if I send them for recycling?
Your appliances will be recycled in a professional and environmentally friendly manner. Recyclable materials such as iron, copper, aluminium, plastics and even gold are extracted, and hazardous substances are disposed of properly.
