Buchzentrum stocks a range of books in German and foreign languages, e-readers and e-books, games and toys, as well as calendars, DVDs, non-books and stationery that is tailored to the market.

With its approximately 320 employees, the book centre based in Hägendorf SO ensures that the Swiss book, specialist and intermediate trade is optimally supplied. It does this, among other things, with efficient overnight logistics and a wide range of books, games, calendars, greeting cards and trend and gift articles.
The book centre is also a logistics partner for over 600 publishers and publishing groups with Swiss delivery and has over 8 million deliverable items in its range.

According to the book centre, the share of games and toys with electronic and electrical components has risen sharply in recent years. It is therefore important to our new partner that these components are recycled in accordance with applicable regulations and, above all, collected and recycled in a resource-conserving and professional manner in the interest of the environment. 

Within the company, active working groups also deal with the optimisation of ecological sustainability and ensure that the topic is and remains present throughout the entire company. As a good example, the book centre is now heading towards an even more sustainable future as a new contractual partner of SENS eRecycling with its own photovoltaic systems, deliveries in reusable boxes and CO2 compensation via climate protection projects.
