"Let go - reuse recyclable materials instead of wasting them": The starting signal for our campaign this year has been given.
On 1 - 2 July 2022 we successfully launched our new "Let go" campaign in Bern. Visitors were able to immerse themselves in the mysterious world of e-waste in the container exhibition and gained impressive insights into the topic of recycling electrical and electronic equipment.
How important is it to recycle the electronic waste that has been lying around in the basement for a long time? How many valuable and harmful substances are present in an appliance and how can you recognize an electrical appliance in the first place? The exhibition showed exactly that.
There are many recyclable materials in electrical and electronic appliances. On average, up to 75% can be recycled and returned to the cycle. The visitors experienced the fascinating recycling process of a device in a recycling plant with virtual reality. It was almost as if they had been there themselves in the recycling halls.
Young and old visited us, enjoyed an ice cream, experienced the fascination of eRecycling and learned important things about protecting our environment. A big thank you to all the eRecyclers who took the time to visit our exhibition!
